James A. Nys, President
Jim is the President and Chief Human Resource Management Consultant for Personnel PLUS! Consulting Services. He provides assistance in Selection and Recruitment, Performance Appraisal, Personnel Policy Development, EEO/Affirmative Action, Wrongful Discharge and Management Training for a wide variety of businesses throughout the inter-mountain west.
Nys has well over 30 years experience in personnel management working for the State of Montana and, since 1987, as a private consultant. Nys holds a Masters degree from the University of Montana and has, since 1991 taught graduate classes for four different Universities and for several community colleges. He also holds the highest recognition in public speaking awarded by Toastmaster's International and is certified as a “Professional in Human Resources” by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He was chosen as the 1999 Business Education Leader by the Montana State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management. Nys also serves as an expert witness in employment litigation matters.
Nys has served on Boards of Directors for a number of organizations including the Montana Independent Living Project, the Society for Human Resource Management and the Myrna Loy Center for Performing Arts. He is a past Vice President of the Helena Chamber of Commerce.
In 2001, Nys was appointed to two, two-year national leadership position in the Society for Human resource management. He was appointed as a member of the 24 member Legislative Action Committee, the body that represents the Human Resource profession in before Congress and Administrative Agencies. He was also named to the SHRM Research Committee, an organization devoted to conducting research to identify the “best practices” in the Human resource profession. In 2006, he was appointed to the SHRM Consultants National Advisory Committee. He has been Legislative Coordinator for the Montana State Council of SHRM since 1989.
Nys has published several Human Resource related books and articles. Thousands of copies of his book An Employer’s Guide to Avoiding Wrongful Discharge were distributed to employers around the state by the Montana Chamber of Commerce as part of its efforts to help employers control liability exposure.
Nancy Nys, CFO
Nancy Nys has been co-owner and Chief Financial officer of Westaff and Personnel Plus! since 1987. Prior to that she worked in various accounting position for the State of Montana and in the medical sector. Nys processes payroll and oversees accounts payable and receivable functions for Westaff.
Nancy was born in Bozeman and raised in the Houston Texas area. She attended classes at the Montana State University - Great Falls College of Technology.

Jeni Garcin, Manager
Jeni joined Westaff and Personnel Plus in late 2008 after moving to Helena from Wyoming. She attended Boise State University, earning a bachelors degree in Mass Media Communications. Before moving to Montana, Jeni managed the Colter Bay Corrals in Grand Teton National Park, giving horseback rides to visitors of the park. Her favorite part of her job with Westaff and Personnel-Plus is making a great match between employees and employers. Jeni looks forward to continuing her education in the human resources field. Jeni is a member of Toastmasters, Helena Young Professionals, SHRM, and Last Chance Backcountry Horsemen. . In her spare time, Jeni enjoys taking trips into the back country with her horses and mules, hunting, and spending time with her dogs.

Stephanie Metzger, Administrative Assistant
Stephanie started her career at Westaff and Personnel PLUS! in February of 2010 shortly after moving back to Montana from Minnesota, her home state. After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 2006, Stephanie accepted a six month AmeriCorps Montana Conservation Corps position here in Helena. Her love for camping and hiking grew so that she again served in the Minnesota Conservation Corps, this time in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness of Minnesota. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering at a local church and playing sports, especially slow pitch softball and ultimate frisbee. She enjoys the challenge of working in a busy office and is continually learning and growing in her career and as an individual.
